Water continues to be a mystery for most even if it’s a vital key to many enigmas on this planet where its plethora of skills and abilities range from nourishing life to destroying large areas of property in an instant. ….
We all know that drinking water is essential for most creatures’ survival as we can go without food for months, but we can’t go a single day without consuming water, even if it provides no calories or organic nutrients.  Go figure!

Water has a low electrical conductivity, which increases with the dissolution of ionic material such as salts and minerals making it vital for all known forms of life.  It is also a key component to acid-base neutrality and enzyme function in the body by regulating the body’s PH when we consume acidic foods and fight diseases.

We’ve all seen the destruction power and force that water has when combined with other elements.  Our planet is predominantly covered with various types of water, yet we seem to spend more time, money and energy in the clouds and stars then what lies underneath.  There are more discoveries to be made under our oceans other than sunken ships and treasures.  I personally continue to peak my curiosity by scuba-diving whenever possible.

Sound travels long distances in water with little attenuation and its speed of sound will depend on the temperature of the water.  There’s also research being conducted around water capability to transport genetic code from one location to another over billions of years.

Knowing that water is energy, it’s important to incorporate it into your diet and daily life in an efficient way.  After attending a few wellness retreats and spa retreats, I’ve discovered reoccurring patterns that we can complete at home to gain the same benefits without having to spend the expense.

Cold water has the power to tighten the muscles when you feel it against your skin as well as strain your vocal cords when you drink it, even if it’s so refreshing.  It also provides an accelerated cooldown of your body after a physical activity where sweating expel impurities from your body.

For me, I find it ideal to complete some physical activity when you first rise with the sun in order to enjoy a cooler/cold shower afterwards to clean yourself, tighten your muscles, gain alertness and cooldown your body.  The power of running water provides the body with energy and power which in combination with its temperature, is ideal to get your physical self ready for your productive day.

Also, since physical activity consumes many minerals from your body, it’s best to enjoy a small glass of lukewarm water distilled with fruit salts that are filled with various minerals to replenish your body.  It’s the only time that I would recommend drinking salty water and it honestly is very refreshing after a strenuous workout and trust me, that you body will thank you for it.

Hot water, as many know, has the power to relieve stress, tension, aches and pain and it also puts a strain on your vocal cords when you enjoy a hot beverage.  I’m only stating this as many soprano singers has a specific diet to maintain their vocal cords in order to perform those amazing notes.  Many of them have learn to enjoy lukewarm water and beverages in order to make it as comfortable as possible on their vocal cords for them to consume it.

It would be ideal that after a long day spending energy and prior to getting adequate sleep that you enjoy a long hot bath to soothe all muscles and tensions and will deepen your sleep.  Stagnant water, regardless of the temperature, has a way of absorbing energy and releasing it from our body.  We see this a lot with athletes and their injuries when they use a pattern of cold and hot therapies.  The water is stagnant when the athlete alternates between warm blanket and cold water to relieve swelling.

We also know about the power of salt water and its ability to extract impurities from the body and tighten skin, so I encourage you to add some Absent salt to your baths to maximize the relief.  Feel free to add any other items, bath bombs, candles to create a perfect environment.

Since I live in Canada, I enjoy the government-tested tap water provided to you.  Regardless of many naysayers, I feel that my bodies will eliminate any impurities from my body when I consume them.  I also make attempts to reduce my consumption of plastic and bottled water as often as I can.  But, being a prudent traveller, I do purchase bottled water from an ethical brand to be safe.

I drink as much water as possible throughout the day, every day.  Whenever I need to snack, I drink water; whenever I have a headache, I drink water; whenever I’m hungry, I drink water.  I carry a refillable water bottle with you everywhere so I replenish my body and stay hydrated throughout the day.  I firmly believe that our body require more water than food and our body can outperform themselves when you treat it properly and recognize its natural cycle.

There’s still so much to discover from this element and most likely the others, but since following a 18/6 fasting cycle in February 2021, I’ve discovered how powerful water is and make active attempts to incorporate it more naturally into my life in every way possible.
