This discipline has been essential for my mental health; fighting off anxiety, loneliness, depression, disease; and, developing natural and healthy habits that maintain success.  If you’ve been reading my blogs, this should confirm how much I practice what I preach and I have been enjoying its benefits.  It took effort and adjustment to adapt to new habits and push yourself to maintain this discipline, but through the short discomfort times, I persisted and continue to maintain this cycle.

I’ll also mention that this schedule will vary slightly as I’m blessed to not work on weekends and feel comfortable allowing my eating period to last a few hours longer, usually until 8:00 p.m. as well as will take an afternoon nap if I have plans to stay up past my usual time.  Lastly, this is a non-exhaustive lit and chose to simply list notable items.  I felt that the time that I share with my pet animal wasn’t necessary to capture.

On top of benefiting from whatever you are working on, discipline adds the feeling of pride in maintaining these accomplishments and goals.  The longer you maintain discipline, the prouder you feel for making it thus far; whether it’s quitting smoking, quitting alcohol, maintaining a diet, exercising, etc.  Those small victories are amazing for your ego and you need to recognize more of those throughout your day.

I challenge you to make a list of your daily accomplishments and start recognize the work that you put in and celebrate it.
